✅ Why This Commitment Is Important:
The success of the Workplace Inclusion Charter (WIC) relies heavily on the active engagement of employer partners whose insights ensure the program is both practical and impactful.
Many employers have used their WIC commitments as a foundation for further diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. In doing so, they have developed tools, procedures, and policies that not only meet but often exceed the WIC standards.
This commitment acknowledges Workplace Inclusion Champions who contribute to the growth of the WIC by sharing resources, lessons learned, and best practices with other employers. It also recognizes those who provide valuable consultation to continuously improve the program, ensuring it remains relevant and effective for all participants.
2025-2029 Bow Valley Immigrant Inclusion Strategy: Goal 4: Supportive Workplaces
By participating in this commitment, employers contribute to a 4-year shared strategic plan to advance inclusion in the Bow Valley. Employers will help create coordinated network of support that enables immigrants to thrive, not only in their workplaces but also in the broader community. These efforts help create an inclusive environment where immigrants feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute to the success of their organizations and communities.
Intended Outcomes:
Stronger Community Connections: A coordinated network of employers and community organizations will support locals in both the workplace and broader community.
Collaborative Growth:
Employers will share resources, mentorship, and best practices, helping to improve workplace inclusion across the region.Making a Measurable Difference:
Employers will actively contribute to creating meaningful change by tracking progress and ensuring their inclusion efforts lead to tangible, positive outcomes for their workforce and community.
