Attend a Disability Awareness and Inclusive Workplace Education session with Vecova.
New Employers:
For new employers who did not participate in the 2024 Workplace Inclusion Charter, send at least one employee to attend a Disability Awareness and Inclusive Workplace Education Session.
Returning Employers:
For employers who completed this commitment in 2024, you have the following options:
Option 1: Send new participant(s) to the 2025 Disability Awareness & Inclusive Workplace Education session and send returning participant(s) to the Inclusive Workplaces Roundtable session, or
Option 2: Only send new participant(s) to a 2025 Disability Awareness & Inclusive Workplace Education session, or
Option 3: Only send returning participant(s) to the Inclusive Workplaces Roundtable session.

Attend a Disability Awareness and Inclusive Workplace Education Session (new and returning signatories)
This training will cover comprehensive topics on inclusive practices throughout the employee life cycle, including accommodations in the workplace. Signatories selecting this commitment will come prepared to apply their learnings and walk away with tangible strategies in their journey to make their workplace more inclusive.
For participants who have not attended this training previously, participate in one of the below training sessions:
Training 1: Tuesday, October 28, 9AM-12PM, in-person (Canmore)
Training 2: Thursday, November 13, 9AM-12PM, in-person (Canmore)
Registration is required by September 1st, 2025. To register, please contact Vecova.
For returning organizations with employees who completed the Disability Awareness and Inclusive Workplaces Education session in 2024, the same participant(s) should register for the Inclusive Workplaces Roundtable, instead of retaking the training.
Participate in the Inclusive Workplaces Roundtable (returning signatories only)
Send an employee who completed the Disability Awareness and Inclusive Workplaces training in 2024 to this Roundtable. This session will include:
A refresher on key inclusion principles
Sharing of inclusive practices or challenges in the workplace
Collaborative problem-solving with other employees/organizations
Action planning and resource sharing
Outcome: participants will leave with two tangible actions/values they can implement to enhance workplace inclusion

Submit Evidence When You have Completed This Commitment
Once you have completed each of the above requirements, upload your evidence using our online form as soon as possible. This allows time for review and feedback.
Evidence may be in the form of a document, email, newsletter, meeting minutes, social media post, etc.
Deadline to submit all evidence for the 2025 WIC: 3PM, Monday, December 1st, 2025.

Through an education session, organizations can have candid conversation with disability service sector specialists who will work to dispel myths and empower organizations to be confident in their disability awareness and inclusion practices.
