Community Week: What’s Next?
Thank you to everyone who has been part of Community Week — this year and over the years.
Your ideas, energy, and commitment have helped make the Bow Valley more welcoming for all.
In 2025, we’re trying something new.
In March, we launched the 2025–2029 Bow Valley Immigrant Inclusion Strategy, shaped by input from people and organizations across the region. The strategy focuses on six key goals:
Valued Immigrant Voices
Inclusive Wellbeing
Lifelong Learning
Supportive Workplaces
Better Housing Experiences
Welcoming Communities
Join a working group connected to the new Inclusion Strategy.
So, what does that mean for Community Week?
Many of you shared that your programs run year-round — and that you want more ways to connect with others and share what you’re doing. So instead of a single Community Week in 2025, we’re:
Pausing Community Week as a one-week event
Creating a shared calendar and simple tools to help promote inclusive, welcoming events all year
Testing and learning throughout 2025
How to get involved
If you have feedback or ideas, we’d love to hear from you.
