Hills ' N Harmonies: A Community Jam Night

Join us at St. George's in the Pines Anglican Church on November 24 at 8 p.m. for an evening of music, creativity, and connection!
Whether you’re a musician, a singer, or just love to enjoy improvised live music, this is a fantastic opportunity to share your talent or simply soak in the sounds of our community.
Bring your own instruments, your voices, or just your enthusiasm, and let’s make some beautiful music together! This is a family-friendly event, so everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Coffee-House Open Mic: Coffee, Tea, Music Aplenty!

For Community Week, Oesa Arts brings you a cozy, coffee-house open mic event in the enchanting setting of St. George in the Pines Anglican Church, a welcoming haven for local talent and community connection.
Local talent will feature a mix of acoustic performances, spoken word, and poetry, with each artist adding their own unique touch to the relaxed, soulful atmosphere.

Join us for a Blanket Exercise, an engaging event designed to help everyone learn about the history and experiences of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
During this hands-on activity, we will use blankets to represent land while exploring important historical events that have impacted Indigenous communities.
This event is about sharing stories, building understanding, and promoting conversations on these vital topics while focusing on wellbeing. It is a chance to reflect, ask questions, and connect with others in a respectful and welcoming environment. Whether you are new to these topics or looking to deepen your understanding, this exercise will foster awareness and empathy.
Everyone is welcome—come with an open mind and heart!

BanffLIFE Community Scavenger Hunt
Learn about Banff on this exciting self-guided scavenger hunt. You will win prizes and connect with essential community resources. Starting at Town Hall you will complete various challenges and tasks before racing to the finish line.
All participants will receive a swag bag full of valuable community resources and be entered in a draw for the grand prize!
The first person to return with a completed race card will receive the first-place award and be crowned the most resourceful resident.

At a Death Cafe people gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

Eating Well on a Budget
Enjoy a meal and learn how to eat well on a budget.
Join us for the "Eating Well on a Budget" event to learn how to eat healthy without spending too much. A speaker from the Primary Care Network (PCN) will share tips on affordable, nutritious food, and you’ll get to enjoy a free meal. There will also be a presentation from the Bow Valley Primary Care Network about how to eat well on a budget and various local food resources. It’s a great chance to meet new people, learn useful tips, and enjoy a meal together!

Join Us for Banff Food and Friends!
Just arrived in the Bow Valley? Looking for a warm meal and great company?
Join us during Community Week 2024 on Monday 18 November (and every Monday night afterwards!) for Banff Food and Friends from 5-7 p.m. at St. George in the Pines Anglican Church Lower Hall! Enjoy a free hot meal and connect with neighbors, friends, and new faces from Banff. Volunteers are welcome between 4-5 p.m. to lend a hand. This community dinner is open to everyone—come as you are, bring a friend, and let’s make Mondays brighter together!
What is Food and Friend Dinners?
Community Food and Friend Dinners offer a safe place for people from all segments of society to come together every Monday evening to enjoy the pleasure of a free, attractive, nutritious meal with friends and neighbors.
This is not a soup kitchen approach toward feeding hungry people but a community event that provides good nutrition, enhances food security, and brings about social cohesion.

We’ll discuss culturally inclusive ways to experience and understand grief. At PCSBV, we strive to create a safe, welcoming space for everyone—volunteers, clients, caregivers, and supporters—free from political, religious, or ideological bias.
