Neighbourhood Travelling Plate Making Workshop
Welcome Newcomers! The Neighbourhood Plate is about connecting with neighbours through random acts of kindness. Make a plate, fill the plate with special treats and pass it along to a neighbour, then they do the same and pass it on to another neighbour. We supply all the materials to create a plate. And all you need to do is take it home, fill it with goodies, and pass it along!
Oesa Arts Magazine
We are an arts magazine that aims to provide a platform for artists residing in the Bow Valley. We believe that the Bow Valley is flooded with talent, and we take pride in showing it! Join our online event to learn more about the magazine's mission and vision. We will also open the floor for questions and suggestions from the community.
Once Upon An Alphabet Storytime
Join us for a fun and fabulous Storytime with songs, rhymes, movement, and great books! Stay to make a craft, do some coloring, and play with toys, blocks, trains, and other sensory objects. Snacks and beverages provided.
Chili Friday
Enjoy a bowl of homemade beef or vegetarian chili. Then stick around to spend time with your community: playing board games, ping pong, pool, foosball, air hockey, or just hanging out. No connection with the church required. Always free, always for everyone. Gluten free and Vegetarian Available.
Remembrance Day Ceremony
Join virtually or in person for our Remembrance Day Ceremony. We will honour those who have served and continue to serve Canada during times of war, conflict, and peace. Canadians must understand the price of freedom. Veterans are passing the torch to us, the people of Canada, so the memory of their sacrifices will continue, and the values they fought for will live on in all of us.

50+ Fitness
A fun fitness class that will have you focused on cardiovascular and muscular strengthening, core and balance and ends with a nice stretch.
Volleyball Night
Join fun game of pickup volleyball. You can work on your serves, volleys and setting in a great social setting. Volleyballs and nets provided. All are welcome to join this casual fun night.
Netball Night
Play Netball in Banff! Netball is a ball sport played by two teams of seven players. Games are played on a rectangular court with raised goal rings at each end. Each team attempts to score goals by passing a ball down the court and shooting it through its goal ring. Come out and join other locals while working up a sweat and learn a fun new game.
Canmore Hub Open House
We invite people to drop by The Hub, our community bicycle workshop in Canmore, to learn more about what we do. The Hub gives members access to tools and equipment to work on their bikes and learn from volunteer mentors. People can also buy a used bike at the Hub or donate a bike they are no longer using. People can ask questions about bikes or bike maintenance and there will be door prizes.

Everything you need to know about the school system in Canada! Ask questions at this free online information session. Essential for all parents and caregivers with children in schools in the Bow Valley, especially newcomers to Canada, immigrants, and Temporary Foreign Workers.
Community Table Lunch
Enjoy a bowl of homestyle cooked vegetable soup, bread, salad, fruit, tea/coffee. Meet other community members, learn information on local resources. $3 suggested donation. All are welcome!
Drop-In with Settlement Services (For Permanent Residents of Canada)
Meet with a friendly local Settlement worker and ask any questions! You don’t need to book an appointment, just drop in and see us! Toys Together
Toys Together is a drop-in child development program for caregivers and young children ages 0-6. This is an open space to play, explore, and socialize with others. Toys are provided to help children learn through free play, use their imagination, and develop fine and gross motor skills. Families may join and leave at any point during each session. Each day will finish with a circle time session with songs and stories.
Field Trip: Family Connection Centre
Field Trip to the Family Connection Centre! We deliver programs focused on child and youth development, building parent and caregiver capacity, and bringing families together to create a socially connected community.
Soccer
Join others to kick the ball around in a fun pickup game of soccer. Balls, pinnies and nets are provided. Free, all are welcome.
Community Jam Night
Drop-in with your instrument of choice and jam out to some well-known songs with other local music enthusiasts! All are welcome to come along for a fun musical night!
Speed Friending
You will have 5 minutes to talk to up to 20 new people and you will decide who will get your contacts at the end. This is a fun way to meet new people and get closer to your community without awkward social barriers.
Badminton
In badminton you will use racquets to hit a shuttlecock (or birdie) across a net at your opponent. Badminton can be played one-on-one or as doubles, so come alone or bring a friend. Racquets and birdies are provided. All are welcome.
Flow Into Nidra - Free Yoga
Break up your week with a yoga session that will lead you through mindful movements and breath work before moving into a restful practice of Yoga Nidra (known as the yogic sleep). The first portion of this practice will get the energy flowing and create warmth in the body and will then transition into slow movement that will have you feeling both awake and rested by the end.
