Cubs, Coffee and Connections
Join us at the Family Connection Centre for a cup of coffee (or tea) and learn about how to coexist safely with wildlife while meeting other families in the community.
This free drop-in program is for caregivers and young children ages 0 - 6. There will be interactive stations such as bear spray demonstration, songs, dances and crafts to learn about how to live smart with wildlife. Coffee and tea will be provided. Families may join and leave at any point.
Do-Si-Do: Biosphere Institute Square Dance Fundraiser
Please join us for our Community Square Dance fundraiser at 7:00 PM on November 17, 2023, at the Cornerstone Theatre in Canmore!
Come dance the night away to live music and meet other community members! We will provide light snacks and access to a cash bar (debit, cash or credit).
Doors open: 7:00 PM
Dance begins: 7:30 PM
Join us for community connection, laughter and boot stomping fun! All profits go towards the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley's programs. Dress-up in Western Wear optional (cowboy boots, hats and other)!

The Language Exchange
The Language Exchange gives community members the chance to come together and learn or practice a new language. It is a fun way for people to meet other people from various cultural backgrounds and swap languages through conversation.

Neighbourhood Travelling Plate Workshop
The Neighbourhood Plate is about connecting with neighbours through random acts of kindness. The idea is to fill the plate with special treats and pass it along to a neighbour, then they do the same and pass it on to another neighbour. We supply all the materials to create a plate. And all you need to do is take it home, fill it with goodies, and pass it along.
