Commitment: Announce your commitment to workplace inclusion and establish a plan for accountability and transparency.

Please complete all of the below requirements.

Part 1: Make a Company-Wide Announcement 

Congratulations on signing up to the 2025 Bow Valley Workplace Inclusion Charter!

Your organization has joined a growing list of workplace inclusion leaders in the Bow Valley and beyond.

To succeed in your next steps, you’ll need the support of all levels of our your organization. The first step is to make a company wide-announcement with the below requirements.

  • a) Timeline – Make this announcement to all staff within 30 days of signing the WIC Declaration of Commitment.

  • b) Leadership Endorsement – A senior leader (e.g., CEO, Director) must make the announcement, emphasizing its importance and alignment with organizational values.

  • c) Resources – Include a link to bvipartnership.com/wic for more information about the program.

  • d) Internal Contact – Provide an internal contact for employees to connect with if they have questions about the WIC.

  • e) Invite Transparency and Accountability – Clearly outline how the employer will hold itself accountable, share specific actions, timelines, and responsibilities.

    We will share helpful templates with you once you join the WIC.

Part 2: Progress Update

  • a) Update All Staff: By November 1st, 2025, provide at least one progress update to all staff about implementing WIC commitments, highlighting actions taken and progress made.

Submit Evidence When You have Completed This Commitment

  • Once you have completed each of the above requirements, upload your evidence using our online form as soon as possible. This allows time for review and feedback.

  • Evidence may be in the form of a document, email, newsletter, meeting minutes, social media post, etc.

  • Deadline to submit all evidence for the 2025 WIC: 3PM, Monday, December 1st, 2025.

Important dates to remember:

  • By October 1st, 2025: Deadline to sign on to the 2025 Workplace Inclusion Charter.

  • Within 30 days of signing the Declaration of Commitment to Workplace Inclusion: Complete Part 1 of this action (Announcement).

  • By November 1st, 2025: Complete Part 2 of this action (Update).

  • By December 1st, 2025: Deadline to complete 2025 WIC commitments and submit all evidence.

This commitment sets the foundation for organizational transparency, accountability, and active participation in creating a more inclusive workplace.

By communicating the Workplace Inclusion Charter (WIC) commitments clearly to all staff, employers demonstrate their dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace. 

Intended Outcomes:

  1. Clear Communication & Engagement: Staff are informed about the WIC commitments and actively participate in the inclusion process.

  2. Accountability & Trust: Regular updates and transparency build trust and ensure the organization remains accountable.

  3. Continuous Improvement: Ongoing feedback supports progress toward a more inclusive workplace.
