✅ Why This Commitment Is Important:
The problem we’re trying to solve:
Employers are often working on inclusion alone: This can lead to duplicated effort, limited capacity, and fewer opportunities to learn from practical local experience.
Helpful tools and successful practices are not always shared: Employers may have effective policies, training approaches, or lessons learned, but other workplaces may not know they exist.
Workplace inclusion needs long-term community support: Lasting change requires shared learning, coordination, and resources so inclusion work can continue across the Bow Valley.
Benefits:
Build a stronger local network of employers: Employers can learn from each other, share practical ideas, and feel more supported at every stage of their inclusion work.
Make progress faster and more consistently: Sharing tools, examples, and learning opportunities helps workplaces avoid starting from scratch and apply proven approaches.
Sustain a welcoming Bow Valley: Financial contributions, shared leadership, and collaboration help maintain the Workplace Inclusion Charter and strengthen inclusive employment across the region.
